Froggies scrape a narrow victory

| A snow storm on Wednesday morning did not bode well
for playing conditions later in the afternoon. However as kick-off
time approached the clouds started to disperse and the sun began to
shine through. Despite the local political issues involved with
having to move the pitch and the lack of usual facilities the game
started as planned. The Barbarians immediately went on the attack
pinning the French in their own 22 for much of the first period but
were unable to cross the French try line. |
